Winter 2016

Welcome to the Winter edition of       News & Views. I hope you have had a lovely Christmas break. If you are in need of some post-holiday motivation to get back into your studies we have two inspirational stories from recent graduates, Mike Maddock and Faye Griggs who share with us their degree journeys and some tips picked up along the way.

We have had a lot of activity in the regions lately with some fantastic events including the first event from our new South East region, the Cambridge Autism conference and the LOUPS pub social. Here you can read an account of Graham Edgar's talk at the LOUPS pub social on Magic, Psychology and Mindreading (from the perspective of Magician's Assistant Abi Robbins) and Laura Middleton Curran's write up of the COUPS Autism conference.

Summer 2016

Commemorative Edition In Memory of Lilli Hvingtoft-Foster May 2016

Welcome to the May edition of News & Views. This edition commemorates the life of Dr Lilli Hvingtoft-Foster, the Society’s long-term President who passed away last year. I did not meet Lilli but the word that keeps coming up to describe her is formidable! Lilli was clearly hugely influential to the Society’s development, including bringing on board and inspiring committed and longstanding committee members and tutors who share their memories of Lilli in this edition.
